Meet the Caregivers

The care team at Total Care Connections is made up of hundreds of trained caregivers and licensed nurses. Each one of them is a W2 employee of our company and not a 1099 contractor.

This means that they are fully insured and protected which, in turn, allows you and your family to have the peace of mind that your caregiver is taken care of. We offer our caregivers full benefits, along with paid sick time, 401K, and paid training opportunities. We specifically look for caregivers and nurses who are passionate about providing excellent care with compassion and kindness. When you hire TCC, you can rest assured that your caregiver has been hand selected to match you and your family’s specific care needs.

If you’d like to join us, please take a look at our open positions and apply today!

Nationwide Background and Drug Screening

When a new caregiver joins our team, we complete a full nationwide background check and drug screen. We know how important it is to properly screen each person before determining to hire them and send them out into your home. But we don’t stop there.

We have invested in ongoing monitoring as well.

Every month, each of our employees undergoe a new background screen to ensure that they maintain a clean record for the entirety of their time at Total Care Connections.

State-of-the-Art Caregiver Training

We provide a state-approved certification to all of our employees in Arizona called the “Direct Care Worker” certification. This certification takes them through a full series of video training followed up by hands-on training in our state-of-the-art training facilities in both Tempe and Tucson, Arizona. Each caregiver must pass a skills test to ensure they are well equipped to safely provide all personal care for each client they serve.

This includes safe transfers, how to assist with toileting and bathing, as well as more advanced training with Hoyer lifts, and other devices used to assist with more advanced disabilities. For our Colorado team, each caregiver must meet the state licensing requirements and pass a similar skills evaluation by a registered nurse on our team. We are committed to ensuring that each caregiver who represents TCC does so with skill, compassion, and a commitment to excellence.

HIPAA Compliant Technology

Before a caregiver comes to your home, they are provided with a full plan of care that is developed by the care manager who would have initially come to assess and sign-on your loved one onto services.

This plan of care is available to them through a HIPAA-compliant smart phone application ensuring that your personal and private health information is kept secure. The caregiver will utilize this same smart phone app to clock-in and out via GPS technology and to document all tasks performed. This information is then made available to you via our “Family Room” portal giving you full transparency into the care being provided to your loved one.
